Enfamil Enspire VS Neuropro – Which one to choose?

Enfamil Enspire VS Neuropro

Getting your child formula food is one of the heartfelt yet nerve-wracking moments. Especially if you are new to parenting. Children cannot understand and talk about what they dislike or what is making them discomfort or not at that age. That’s why it is necessary to take precautions. One must thoroughly go through the ingredients of the formula food and also check if their kid is allergic to certain elements or not.

When it comes to formula food, Enfamil has been a reliable partner for most of the parents out there. However, among all of their product, most parents like to choose one over the others. Though all of their choices are not the same, here we will discuss about Enfamil Enspire and Enfamil Neuropro.

If you are befuddled about which one to choose for your little one, we hope that this article will guide you through. We have added all the necessary information you should know to decide.

Difference between Enfamil Enspire VS Neuropro

When we say about the difference, it is all about ingredients. Even the slightest difference can be made out of a big deal and sometimes not. Usually, food formula ingredients are milk casein, vegetable oil (can be different types), vitamin, minerals, etc. However, there can be other elements as well depending on the manufacturers and their formula type.

Enspire is known to be the closest breast milk formula. The ingredients used to make this are also great enough to admit their claim.

Ingredients: Enfamil Enspire is made with Non-fat Milk, lactoferrin of about below 2%, vegetable oil, Whey Protein & Protein-Lipid concentrate, Polydextrose, Galactooligosaccharides, Mortierella Alpina oil, Crypthecodinium cohnii oil, etc. Also, there are different minerals and vitamins that help the baby’s body have various strengths.

It has lactoferrin which is known to be a beneficial immunoglobulin type. Mothers’ breast milk contains the most important immunoglobulin IgA for children after birth. Since they are frail, they don’t have the immunity like adults. This immunoglobulin helps them build a defensive level. Even if your child does not have breast milk anymore rather eats food formula, they must have enough immunity to fight against small bacterial and viral infections. Lactoferrin has the benefits which Enfamil Enspire offers for immunity. This is the reason why Enspire is closest to breast milk.

Whey Protein-Lipid concentrate is the source of MFGM. MFGM, Milk Fat Globule membrane is good for children’s brain development, improves metabolic health, and fights against infections.

Galactooligosaccharides (galacto – oligo – saccharides) are great prebiotics that is the food of good bacteria in the intestines. Even though humans have all types of enzymes to digest food, they don’t have cellulase to digest cellulose (vegetables, plants, fiber). These good bacteria digest them and make sure this food is reabsorbed well for better bowel movement. The children, of course, need to have a clear stomach and a good bowel system.

The Crypthecodinium (Cryp – te – co – dinium) cohnii oil of Enspire is the main source of DHA [Docosahexaenoic acid]. For children, this is something for their brain development and is needed during childhood.

Mortierella Alpina oil is for Arachidonic acid which is important for immune response.

Enfamil Neuropro is the one that most parents choose due to its less price, adequate nutrients, and no additional problems.

Ingredients: It is of Non-fat milk, vegetable oil, lactose, 2’- Fucosyllactose (below 2%), Whey protein concentrate, Polydextrose, Galactooligosaccharides, Schizochytrium Sp. oil, Mortierella Alpina oil, vitamins, and minerals.

Its 2’- Fucosyllactose works as the source of 2’-FL HMO that exists in breast milk naturally. It is prebiotic and works like the Galactooligosaccharides. Good bacterias are important for kids to have a better bowel movement. Moreover, 2’-FL HMO increases the positive immune response. The 2’- Fucosyllactose has a beneficial point to get closer to breast milk.

The Whey protein concentrate provides MFGM, Milk Fat Globule membrane. For children to have brain development, improved metabolic health, and immune to infections, this membrane is a great addition. Since they do not get the nutrients and immunity that they used to get from breast milk, food formulas are mostly a closer substitute to it.

As for Galactooligosaccharides (galacto – oligo – saccharides), we have already mentioned their benefits as prebiotics.

Arachidonic acid is the source of eicosanoids that are for increasing immunity and positive immune response. And this Arachidonic Acid’s source is the Mortierella Alpina Oil. This oil is made from a fungus named Mirtierella Alpina solely for child food formula. It is a safe source of Arachidonic acid that helps children grow immunity.

As for DHA source, Neuropro uses Schizochytrium Sp. Oil. Since DHA is an important element for children, Schizochytrium Sp. oil has great benefits. It is an omega-3 fatty acid full of nutrients.

 Enspire VS Neuropro

When seeking difference, there are only tiny ones that one would not really focus on. However, they are not the same otherwise, what would be the purpose of selling them in two different names and types, right? Let’s see those slightest odds and find out whether they make any difference or not.

The main difference comes from the ingredients which make the whole thing valuable. Otherwise, talking about prices and packaging is just on the side. As we have said about Lactoferrin, beneficial immunoglobulin for children and it works as a substitute for IgA, which is derived from breast milk. Even though Enspire has this element, Neuropro does not have this one. Rather, it has 2’- Fucosyllactose that focuses on the immunity of the child.

As for the DHA source, Enspire uses Crypthecodinium cohnii oil and Neuropro uses Schizochytrium Sp. Oil. Prebiotics, vitamins, vegetable oil, minerals, etc are all almost the same as each other. This is why, we said, these differences do not make a big deal unless there are other concerns.

If you are on a budget, Enfamil Neuropro is an affordable one. Moreover, it comes in so many sizes and types that you would want.

Should you choose Enfamil Enspire or Neuropro?

Unless your child has an allergy to the ingredients, you should have no problem choosing one between them.

One of the main products that Enspire use is Lactoferrin. Many children have allergies to this particular element. If your child also has this one, there is no way you would choose Elfamin Enspire. That leaves you with no choice but to choose Neuropro.

However, there are many conscious parents who want their child to have formula similar to breast milk. If you are also one of them, Enspire is the best one then. Of course, your child should not have an allergy to Lactoferrin. Otherwise, it’s a big no.

We already said, for affordable choices, Enfamil Neuropro seems to be perfect. It is less pricey than Enspire. Moreover, it comes in a liquid format that many parents look forward to. Also, the stick type will be a great help during your travel.

We don’t really want to choose for you because there are a lot of things to consider before choosing a food formula for your baby. You, the parent best know of the well-being, the situation of your child, your financial state, and other problems. However, Enfamil Neuropro is the best considering the cost, allergy part, and easy-to-use features as well.
